More Joyce – The Julliard Master Class 2013

Julliard baritone Emmett O'Hanlon with JDD
Now online, the wonderful, generous, funny, intelligent, (and, as always, super-humble*) JDD, offering wonderful advice via her wonderful (and fun...and educational) 2013 Julliard Master Class. My new favorite fantasy role for JDD is Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro).

Thank you, Joyce. And thank you, Julliard!

*Yes, I am a totally head-over-heels Joyce Fanboy!

  2. Other than the odd YouTube clip, I've only seen/heard JDD in La Cenerentola and The Barber of Seville. I really enjoyed her performances in these operas but I'm curious and interested to see what she does with more intense/less lighthearted material (which is not to downplay the pleasures and challenges of Rossini, of course). What would you recommend?

    1. I definitely would suggest her fiery Donna Elvira in the Covent Garden Don Giovanni, and the more recent La Donna del Lago, if you can track it down.

Also I just found the first act of the Met Maria Stuarda on the Toob - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fy9qFHyReU
