I think among those quoted, Finley put it best: without "a passionate heart" the singing "will only be larynx-deep and no amount of vocal talent will move the audience, and they would remain a circus performer."
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you on that. And Gerald Finley is living proof. In fact, even when he makes a rare less-than-lovely sound, he always does it with passion!
