"Unexpected Song" Blogs about Vesselina Kasarova

VK and Bela
My new blog buddy Bela had a front-row seat to a VK concert last night in São Paulo, and I am a teensy bit envious. Bela is a music student in Brazil, who shares her experiences as a student and as an opera fan in a blog called Unexpected Song

Bela manages to get behind the scenes frequently, and her enthusiasm just spills off the screen. I almost feel like I am there with her when I read her posts. I highly recommend her blog and I suggest starting with today's post:

  1. Lucky folks in Sao Paulo! After reading Bela's post, I'm relieved to learn I am not the only one who enjoys sitting in the first row at recitals :)

    1. Once I accidentally got my parents seats in row B instead of Z for a Bach b-minor I was singing in (the chorus). (In Natl Cathedral -- no stage per se). They ended up on top of the first violins and right under the noses of the soloists. My parents, being who they are managed to bond with all four soloists and the concert mistress by intermission. :)

ps; I cannot stop listening to Vesselina singing, I seriously considered flying to Argentina to see her again over the weekend. It's in times like these I wish I was real rich hahaha
